Q: Are All Commercial Building Inspectors Qualified?

A: No

Mike Woodbridge is qualified and experienced commercial property inspector, but the reality is that anyone can say that about themselves.

In contrast to Home Inspection in British Columbia, no formal licensing or qualification is required for the inspection of commercial buildings.

The industry standard document for Property Condition Assessments and Due Diligence inspections (ASTM E2018) recommends the inspector have
'a professional designation in architecture or engineering, or appropriate experience and/or certifications in the construction fields'.

Mike is unusual among inspectors in being a formally trained, registered (UK) and experienced architect who has undertaken additional classroom and on-the-job training specific to the inspection of commercial buildings. He has inspected and reported on many different types of commercial building over
the years.
